So, a couple of months ago, I did something really brave: I decided to go cold-turkey on my whole “multiple niche” approach to life (and blogging).
I decided I’d spend 30 days focusing only on a single niche that had been sort of assigned to me by the universe. At the end of the 30 days, I received an invitation to participate in a pretty big online summit that was perfect for the niche – but the event was a month away. So, I decided I’d give it another month. The summit, despite a small hiccup, went incredibly well. In the meantime, I’ve developed classes, written more books and produced a ton of videos in the niche. Continue Reading →
Do you wish more readers would subscribe to your blog? Maybe you’ve checked out your traffic stats, and seen that people definitely DO visit. But your subscriber count remains puny. Don’t worry — you can fix this. In my experience growing my own blog into a multi-six-figure earner — and in reviewing hundreds of startup blogs — I’ve discovered there are seven elements that need to be in place when new readers land on your blog, if you want them to subscribe. If you know me, you know how I have this whole “pay-it-forward” philosophy in my life. I try to do this weekly – to give something back to my fellow authors, coaches, journalists, freelance writers, bloggers and other online entrepreneurs. (more…) Continue Reading →

Well, my friend, I’ve got a story for you that is going to shock you and give you some insight that you probably never had about Carol Tice. You are SO going to thank me for this one. I introduced my brand new Pay-It-Forward Marketing Program a couple weeks ago, and as it turns out, it’s been a huge hit with my fellow writers and small business owners. The reviews are in, and they’re all good. People are thrilled to be getting professional
marketing services at bargain-basement prices. The services are being hosted on Fiverr – a great way for any entrepreneur to connect with new clients. I actually started on Fiverr as a user a couple of years ago, buying gigs for various marketing services – but it never occurred to me to be a seller until recently. Continue Reading →
As a life and business coach, I get all kinds of questions via email and social media about how to become a blogger. Today, I’m covering a biggie. How often should you update your blog? I recently set up a resources page for new bloggers who are looking to start their first blog in response to those inquiries (see it here, if you like – everything is totally free!).
That’s why I’ve started this new blogging series here at OnlineWritingPro.com. I’m always interested in paying it forward – and I had a lot of help from my fellow writers when I started. Continue Reading →
Update: I found something called “Better Click to Tweet” and I’m giving it a shot! Let me know what you think. Not gonna lie. That’s pretty sleek and sexy and actually might have handled some of the issues I mentioned in the original post below. Interesting. Continue Reading →
Castleman offers an entire plan to succeed in Kindle publishing in the video, but he doesn’t give it away, so I’ll just tell this one secret today and offer you the link to the actual product in case you’re interested in knowing more. Continue Reading →
Okay, so today’s potential marketing idea for ebook authors is HubPages. I haven’t given this one much of a go before, so I’m going to give it a shot. So, help me out! IF you’re a fellow ebook author – have you personally used hubpages to aid you in your marketing, and if so, how’d it work out for you? Leave me a comment, hit me up on Facebook or drop me an email and tell me what you think. Continue Reading →
